WORKBENCH - AFF Intermediate 1
The first of our ‘The Art of Fine Furniture’ (TAFF) courses that we run on a Saturday finished with success. Everyone has made a lovely stool with hand cut, angled dovetails, each a little different from the other. This project was an exceptionally complex task for beginner woodworkers, but, I’m pleased to say all students achieved a remarkable result.
Our next TAFF course, TAFF Intermediate One, starts on the 28th April. This course will cover the making of a robustly constructed, traditional solid wood Workbench for each student to take home. TAFF courses homework should then be a breeze! Bench size will be from 1200 1400 long, and 850 – 920 high, depending on the space available at home.
54 hours - $28.52 per hour = $1540 plus materials. Choice of solid Jarrah or Beech. Veritas tail vise and Record or Groz shoulder vise.
28th April, 12th, 19th, 26th May, 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th June 2012 - 9 days 9am to 4pm Saturdays. – with 1 hour lunch break.
